Each morning during the school year, I fix Jacob's lunch. A couple of years ago, Julie bought a box of these small envelopes to put milk money in. After writing his name and lunch ID number on them day after day, I started doodling little drawings of milk cartons doing goofy things. Julie made me start taking pictures of them about a year after I started and here are a few of my favorites.
In general, they were all thought of and drawn the morning that the lunch was being packed, so simplicity was key. I also tried to use just a Sharpie or a marker, but there have been a few exceptions.
If you aren't able to follow the link to the web album, let me know. This is the first time that I've used Picasaweb.

Bravo! Those are great. I'm not sure if I am real happy about Milkissippi hornin' in on my home state though.
SG, you are the coolest dad EVER!! How awesome to get those each day! That's something Jacob will carry with him long after he no longer needs milk money...

i really like the cowboy chasing after the milk herd. now, could you blow that up, frame it, and send it out here!
the flag one was pretty good too.
I'm with Schmo, these are phenomenal. Who's the coolest kid at school now? Definitely the kid with the stud milk money envelope. You've set him for social success.
Wow, thanks for the kind words. I wish I had taken pictures of them from the start.
O.G. - I don't know how it will look blown up, but I'll see what I can do. I've been thinking that I could clean them up with photoshop, but I don't have a copy right now.
I like the "tyranusmilk/t-rex" one and the austronaut one (I love the helmet) and the under the sea one and the "milk kong" one and the....oh heck, they're ALL so good, I can't pick just ONE favortie!!

Polling the audience -- I want to box up a few sets and sell them to other lunch-money-packing moms and dads. Wonder if anybody would buy them? Wonder where you could sell something like that? Is this a lame idea? It won't hurt my feelings if you think it's lame. Just tell me gently. ;)
*Possible lamenessness of the selling idea does NOT diminish coolness of the milk art itself.*
And this man fixes the actual lunches every day, too! Wow!
I forgot my name --- is it MomGoat??
If you were in NYC, you would be ready for a gallery exhibit, and they would eat it alive.. Maybe the Frist or the Pink Palace would consider it?
